busy london road with red bus

Going to London after the 8th April  2019 ?

To help improve air quality in London they are introducing Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ). This comes into force from the 8th April 2019 and will cover the same area as the congestion charge. Many vehicles including cars and vans  will now be affected by the ULEZ.

Customers should check if they will be entering the ULEZ  and are responsible for paying the charge.

As of the 8thApril ULEZ daily charges will be:

  • £12.50 for most vehicle types, including cars, motorcycles and vans (up to and including 3.5 tonnes)
  • £100 for heavier vehicles, including lorries (over 3.5 tonnes) and buses/coaches (over 5 tonnes)

This will be in addition to the weekday Congestion Charge and the Low Emission Zone (LEZ) charge and will replace the T-Charge.

A daily charge runs from midnight to midnight. If you drive within the ULEZ area across two days, for example before midnight and after midnight, you will be liable to pay two daily charges if your vehicle doesn’t meet the ULEZ standards.

You can check whether you need to pay the charge by entering the vehicle registration number on the Transport for London’s website.

If you fail to pay the charge you will be liable for any penalty charges.

ULEZ will need to be paid alongside the Congestion Charge

For more information on the ULEZ  please visit tfl.gov.uk/ulez . if you have any questions regarding the ULEZ charge please let us know.
